About the Scholarship

The Jeff Guaracino Scholarship will be awarded annually to two students who have demonstrated a commitment and passion for tourism, hospitality and events industries of Philadelphia.

  • Special consideration will be given to students who are working on projects that impact the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Each scholarship is in the amount of $2,500. Scholarship funds are unrestricted and may be used for tuition, housing, books, transportation, living expenses, or any other education-related expense.

Scholarship Criteria

  1. Applicants must be actively enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in good standing in an accredited university or college.

  2. Applicants must have some experience – whether paid or unpaid – in the tourism, hospitality or events industries.

Application Process

  • A fully completed scholarship application must be submitted by September 1, 2024. The dmhFUnd reserves the right to reject any incomplete or untimely application. Receipt of the application will be acknowledged by email.

  • Two scholarships will be awarded each year at the discretion of the dmhFund. The dmhFund will evaluate all applications and notify the scholarship recipients by September 15, 2024.

  • The scholarship recipients will be publicly announced in October 2024.
